The Cambodian Family Traditional Dance Group.
The Cambodian Family Dance Group has been in existence for over 20 years, growing and dwindling depending on the staff and resource availability. In the past, the dance group has served the community of Santa Ana, performing at various events that were hosted by Parks and Recreations, SAPD, the Santa Ana Zoo, and the Santa Ana Unified School District. The group has been recognized by official leaders and were invited to perform at the National Weed and Seed Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The group consists of experienced and inexperienced dancers who have a shared passion for the art of Cambodian traditional dancing. There are three levels to our dance group: 1. Trained dancers who perform and train other dancers 2. Dancers in our Youth Program who meet during our Afterschool program; and 3. Newly recruited dancers in our fee-for-service dance class.
